Epoxy Flooring in Toronto

Professional flooring in Toronto and North York for commercial operators, property managers and homeowners. Older slabs are assessed and ground back properly before anything goes down, and the on-site estimate is free.

Toronto concrete is older than most of what we work on, and that changes the job. A garage slab in Scarborough, East York or the older parts of North York may have been down for fifty or sixty years, coated at some point with something nobody has a record of, and never once sealed properly.
That is not a reason to avoid coating it. It is a reason to have someone look at it before quoting. We install epoxy, polyaspartic, and quartz flooring across Toronto and North York, for commercial operators, property managers, and homeowners.

OUR SYSTEMS

Epoxy Flooring Systems We Install in Toronto

Three systems, listed with the commercial workhorse first because that is most of what we install in the city. All three finish at 24 to 40+ mils over fully ground concrete, whatever the building.

Metallic

Metallic Epoxy Flooring | $11 to $20+ per sq ft

A marbled, reflective, three-dimensional finish. Used in Toronto retail showrooms, studios, lobbies, restaurants and high-end residential spaces where the floor is part of the design.

Flake

Flake Epoxy Flooring | $7 to $9 per sq ft

Full broadcast vinyl flake with a polyaspartic topcoat. Durable, textured and forgiving. The value choice for garages, basements, storage areas and back of house spaces.

Quartz

Quartz Epoxy Flooring | $8 to $11 per sq ft

Real quartz aggregate is broadcast into epoxy for slip resistance that runs through the full body of the coating rather than sitting on the surface. The standard specification for Toronto commercial kitchens, food premises, warehouses, gyms and service bays.
WHY LOCAL

Why North King Epoxy Commercial Flooring in Toronto

Toronto floors fail for reasons that rarely come up further north. Older concrete, unknown coating history, and slabs poured before vapour barriers were standard. These four points cover what genuinely changes here.

Old concrete, unknown history

Much of Toronto's slab stock predates modern construction standards and carries old paint, sealer, or a previous coating nobody has a record of. Full diamond grinding strips it and cuts a fresh profile into sound concrete. We do not coat over anything we have not assessed first.

Slabs poured without vapour barriers

Older buildings, basements and slab-on-grade commercial floors often sit on ground with no vapour barrier beneath. Moisture pushes upward and lifts the coating from underneath. It is the most common cause of failed floors we are called in to replace here, so we test every project.

Salt, slush and entrance wear

Toronto entrances take a beating from November through April. Grit, brine and meltwater are tracked in constantly and unsealed concrete absorbs all of it. Entrances are also where slip incidents actually happen, so we usually specify additional texture at those transitions.

Access and logistics

Narrow laneway garages, tight side drives, restricted parking, loading rules and elevator access all affect how long a job takes and what it costs. We would rather see the access in person and price it accurately than quote low and revise later.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

My garage is sixty years old, and something is already painted on it. Can it still be coated?
Usually yes, but not without looking at it. Much of Toronto’s slab stock predates modern construction standards and carries old paint, sealer, or a previous coating nobody has a record of. Full diamond grinding strips whatever is there and cuts a fresh profile into sound concrete underneath. We do not coat over anything we have not assessed.
Yes, and access is worth showing us rather than describing. Narrow laneways, restricted parking and awkward side drives all affect how long a job takes and what it costs, because equipment has to get in and dust has to be contained. We would rather see it in person and price it accurately than quote low and revise later.
Not a problem, but it needs planning. Elevator bookings, loading restrictions, and building insurance requirements are normal parts of downtown commercial work and they affect the schedule more than the price. Tell us the building’s rules at the site visit and we will work to them.
Yes, and it usually works out better than quoting them separately. We can assess them together and sequence the work around your operating requirements. Keeping the specification consistent across sites also makes maintenance and any future recoating considerably simpler to manage.
Yes. North York is one of our busier parts of the city on both the residential and commercial side, from detached and attached garages in the older neighbourhoods to light industrial floors along the Sheppard, Finch and Dufferin corridors. We work in Scarborough and East York as well.
Entrances are where we usually specify additional texture, and for good reason. Grit, brine and meltwater get tracked in from November through April, and doorways and transitions are where slip incidents actually happen. Sealing the concrete stops the absorption, and building extra grip at those transitions handles the safety side.
